About Us

How we started
From furniture upcycling to an online shop and Interior Design services.
I started The Pallet House in 2014 as a furniture upcycling business, working from my garage and kitchen table selling through marketplaces like eBay, Preloved and Gumtree. Ivan (my hubby) would be the delivery guy, picking up furniture from customers and delivering when it was done.
Then in 2016, I opened an online store for new furniture and home decor niched to the country, farmhouse and industrial styles, and soon after I started offering Interior Design Consultation.
We are ever-expanding our products in our online shop to fit our customer's needs. And coming soon is our own designed line of wallpaper, fabrics, soft furnishing and home decor.

MONICA MAESTRELO
INTERIOR DESIGNER AND FOUNDER

My love for arts and crafts began as a child, following the footsteps of my mother as a professional crocheter. I've learned about painting, crochet, jewellery, recycling materials and many other crafting skills over my teenager years.
Interior Design has always been my aspiration, even before I've got my qualifications. I've always felt that I had some creative flair that could be used to transform the spaces we dwell.
While still studying for the Foundation Degree in Interior Design, I've started The Pallet House as a furniture upcycling business. After graduating I've expanded the business by opening an online shop and offering Interior Design Consultation.
I've continued my education with a BA in Design for Outdoor Living and completed an array of additional courses in hand sketching, architectural watercolour sketching, colour consultation, visualisations and I'm continuing keeping up with the latest trends to ensure that I'm providing my clients with the best quality service at an affordable price.
I'm dedicated to helping each client fall in love with their revamped space. With my previous experience with vintage/antique furniture, I like to incorporate them into almost every project, not only because it's eco-friendly, but also to create the juxtaposition between old and new and for a personal and unique addition to each space.
The smallest details can make a real impact when it comes to designing a space, but only an outside set of eyes can bring these details together to create a seamless design.

Many thanks for all your effort in protecting the 6 chairs individually for transport. The packaging was excellent too. Great job. You are a great seller and we hope your business thrives. Good people deserve good things in life.
